I graduated from the Dental School at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2010. I completed a specialization in Prosthodontics in 2012 and in Operative Dentistry in 2015. My Master's degree in Clinical Dentistry and Prosthodontics was obtained from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, between 2017 and 2019, followed by my PhD in the same field from 2019 to 2023. During 2021-2022, I participated in the Dentsply Implant Fellowship Program at the University of Florida in the Periodontology Department, and in 2022-2023, I completed a second fellowship in the Prosthodontics Department, culminating in two years of clinical training in the USA.

Currently, I'm a clinical assistant professor at University of IOWA Prosthodontics department in a simulation clinic for D1, D2 undergraduate students; and D3 in a prosthodontics clinic. I'm a course director for Anterior all ceramic crown, and posterior crown for D1 which updated more than 20 lectures with some of them with CAD/CAM technology and digital workflows, and clinical assistant professor for Graduate students at Prosthodontics department. In addition, to provide patient care in the Department of Prosthodontics Faculty Practice. I continue to collaborate on research projects with the University of Florida, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Rochester. I love mentoring, collaborating on research, and helping others grow in their academic and research environment.

I'm passionate about research in CAD/CAM ceramics, 3D-printed zirconia, and restorative dentistry.

I have developed extensive research experience across both educational and clinical domains. My areas of expertise include:

  • Systematic reviews – conducting and evaluating evidence-based reviews in dental and medical sciences
